Dr Marina Cavada

Dr. Cavada is an experienced Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon (Otolaryngologist) with Australian and Brazilian citizenship. She has a particular interest in general adult and paediatric ENT conditions, and has completed extensive training in advanced nose and sinus disorders (Rhinology).

 

After obtaining her medical degree from the Federal University of Pelotas in Brazil, Dr. Cavada completed her ENT training at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, PUCRS, Porto Alegre, Brazil. She subsequently worked in rural healthcare as part of a Brazilian government scheme, gaining valuable experience in post-graduate family health.

 

Dr. Cavada continued to advance her skills with a Clinical Research Fellowship in Rhinology at St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research, University of New South Wales. She then completed ENT training in Australia at Macquarie University Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital, earning her the Australian Fellowship certificate in ENT (Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck surgeon).

 

As a senior clinical lecturer at Macquarie University, Dr. Cavada is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in ENT, and annually participates in conferences and research. Dr. Cavada has also worked as a VMO and assisted with the public waiting list reduction at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.

 

Dr. Cavada is an active and esteemed member of a variety of medical associations, including the Australian Medical Association (AMA), Australian Association of Otolaryngologists, Head and Neck Surgeons (ASOHNS), Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), Brazilian Medical Association (CREMERS), and Brazilian Association of Otolaryngologists, Head and Neck Surgeons (ABORL). Dr. Cavada's patients benefit from her passion for high-quality care and developing expertise across multiple countries.

​Dr. Cavada currently works at The ENT Centre (Hornsby), Sydney ENT Clinic (Kogarah) and provides surgical care at Chatswood Private, St George Private, Sydney Adventist Private Hospital, Macquarie University Private Hospital and The Sydney Childrens Hospital (Randwick).
